We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! We have been named Healthy Heroes School of the Month for February 2024! 🎉
Amongst hundreds of primary schools across Ireland, we stood out for its unwavering commitment to promoting health and wellness among our students. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire school community.
Our participation in the Healthy Heroes Lunch Club initiative, has truly paid off. Through this program as most of you will know, our students have been learning about the importance of nutrition, physical activity, and maintaining healthy habits in a fun and engaging way.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their enthusiasm and effort in making healthier lunchtime choices every day. From choosing nutritious foods to staying active during break times, they have embraced the Healthy Heroes ethos wholeheartedly.
A special shoutout goes to our older students who have been serving as fantastic role models for their younger peers. Their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills have shone through as they mentor younger students on the importance of nutrition and physical activity.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Irish Bread Bakers Association (IBBA) and Bord Bia for their support and guidance throughout this journey. Their dedication to promoting healthy living in schools across Ireland is truly commendable.
